Any suggestions on where to look for resumes for attorneys?

I haven't had much luck looking on the job boards, linkedin, zoominfo etc for attorney's with a specific type of experience. Is there a job board out there specifically catering to the legal world?

Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

To be honest, when I have sourced for Attorneys I did not find them on the job boards. If you do a lot of work in the legal field it is always good to use your current network to establish relationships. For example, if you have a past candidate who is a paralegal working in the personal injury field, she has contact with good attorneys from her past and present relationships. If all else fails, it is pretty simple to find firms that service the area you are looking for with a list of attorneys and bios on the website. (Most firms do have the information posted about how long each attorney has practiced, the area of expertise, even what law school they graduated from.) Then I just pick up the phone and call them. If you can only get through to the secretary, you simply say that you were referred to him and need to speak to him about a time sensitive matter. Good luck!

Thanks, Phelicia. This is actually the first sourcing request I've worked on specific to the legal world, so my network is extremely limited in this arena. I have found some solid passive candidates using firm websites, as you suggested, but was hoping to find some resumes out there. Sounds like there isn't really a place for them.

Keir,
Your best resource to find lawyers is the Martindale Directory, http://www.martindale.com/. Should you purchase a subscription you will have access to just about every lawyer, then simply start dialing. Good luck!

how about word of mouth or using your clients to get you into the company? As well, asking your client eg who worked for Company XYZ to get you the name of the Human Resource Manager at the Company and give you the name of the Recruiting Manager in her or his department. Does this work now?

Hey thanks, Marc! Huge help. I just found several attorneys on martindale in the Boston area with the skill set I'm looking for. Much appreciated.
