Maybe my request for the assistance of a corporate recruiter was the wrong one.  I know that posting my blog on May 24th in the afternoon was going to be a little slow in responses due to the holiday weekend coming up and so I had hopes of hearing something from someone at the first of the week.  What do you know here it is mid week and no one has stepped up to the plate.  Maybe I posted this in the wrong place and if I have, if someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

Have a wonderful day.

With Regards,

Theresa

If people didn't answer because they might have been on holiday you should probably have included what your original request was. I don't remember reading it, and usually do not go back and look through every post I missed. Of course, I'm not a corporate recruiter anyway.

Thanks Amber.  How do I go about reposting it?  Is it as simple as copy and paste?

Theresa,
As I recall your blog was an attempt to place a candidate by asking corporate recruiters to contact you for his resume. You normally won't get any response from anyone to a blog marketing a candidate. There may be a group for that but posting jobs or posting trying to place a candidate on a discussion group will seldom get results. It is just considered marketing and not anything that generates comments. Hope that helps.

Hmm that is a shame this is a great candidate and was more looking for help from someone that might want to reach out to this person.  I am not looking for any fee just networking with someone that may specialize in this area that could help.

Oh well I will let the person know and will work on some other way.

Hi Theresa - I'm a corporate recruiter and I remember seeing that blog post... to be honest I didn't see anything in your write up of the candidate that would make him a fit for me and my organization. Not to say he's not a great candidate, but I just didn't have anything helpful to add. Targeted messages to recruiters at companies that might need his skill set will probably get you more response.

Thanks Amy.  I appreciate your response.

Opps I guess I mean't to add if some one also works with companies as an outside recruiter that might be interested in his resume that would work too.
