Employer Branding and Social Recruiting Stats You Need

Employer branding, employee engagement and social recruiting.

Three phrase in every talent acquisition professionals’ vocabulary. It’s also the three areas where most HR leaders are trying to build business cases for new initiatives that will keep their company on the edge of hiring innovation and increase their ability to attract and hire great talent.

But, if you’ve ever actually tried to create an HR business case and set benchmarks, you know that collecting a data point that isn’t 5+ years old or from a shady source is a bit of a wild goose chase. In fact, it’s a chore. We write recruiting content, we get it.

So we’ve brought in the experts from Glassdoor, Susan Underwood and Marcus Dubois, who have done the leg work for you, curating their favorites from a variety of key sources for these and other important trends like mobile and Millennials

Here's a sneak peek into the data they’ll be sharing:

  • 64% of Millennials would rather make $40K a year at a job they love, than $100K a year at a job they think is boring.
  • 69% of job seekers would not take a job with a company that had a bad reputation, even if they were unemployed.
  • 95% of candidates say reviews from those “on the inside” are influential when deciding where to work.

If you’re looking for more data points or just want to have data in your back pocket before your next data driven scavenger hunt, join us for this webinar on Tuesday March 10th at 2pm EST, 50 HR & Recruiting Stats for Today’s Talent Acquisition Pros, where we’ll explore the actionable intelligence that can both inspire and validate your own branding, recruiting and hiring plans.

I'd say the 64% who would rather make 40k and the 69% who said they would stay unemployed probably don't have children. If they do, I feel for their kids and for our economy.

I would say you're definitely right... I also feel some authority in saying millenials are just f*ing crazy.

Haha. :) As a Gen Xer I've grown hate generalizations about generations. Even though they are sometimes very accurate :).
