Regarding the economy, from what I have seen with search firms and staffing agencies, it depends on three things:
1) how they do business. If they are just downloading resumes and slapping an invoice on them and calling that value, then they are hurting.
2) their marketing efforts. did they have a solid marketing plan in place? Do they have a greater pool of prospects to choose from now because they were proactive before?
