I am looking for anyone in the staffing industry that would be willing to give me some advice on staffing software out there today. The company I work for is in need of changing our front end software and there are so many to choose from, which of all seem to have similar functions and look. I am having a hard time weeding out which one would best fit our needs. The problems I am facing are all the software out there seems to be sooo advanced technilogically, that I am not quite sure if some of our staff would be able to manuever in it (and yes I'm sure some of you are probably laughing, saying to yourself...."How could you have such tech challenged individuals working for you?"), I cannot answer that, I didn't hire them, I am only the person who got the job to research all the software out there to try and find something that will fit our needs, I also want to know how other companies migration of data went and what they would have done differently if they could go back and change anything, what is the preferred Server Base (i.e. Web-Based or Client-Based servers), Technical Support--was or is there a staffing software company that had such exceptional tech support, that you were impressed with and wouldn't mind sharing your experience. I guess I am just looking for some feedback from anyone willing to share.....What is the TOP staffing software out there and WHY? What makes it stand out from the rest? If anyone could throw me a line, express their opinion or even if they've done the research, I would greatly appreciate it. P.S. I would prefer to here from clients using staffing software, NOT a Staffing Software Vendor. Thanks

I appreciate you responding to my Blog and not to sound rude, but that is why I put the P.S. at the end of my blog.......To quote myself again......."P.S. I would prefer to here from clients using staffing software, NOT a Staffing Software Vendor." I guess I should have added Software Consulting firms in there as well. I am kind of looking for some FREE sincere opinions on the software that is available, NOT pay another firm to do what I am doing right now. Again thanks, but no thanks. I will continue to try and get comments from people who work for other staffing companies and USE staffing software on a daily basis.

Hi Carissa,

Thanks for your reply and I understand, and appreciate your position.

However, just to clarify, I was offering you free, impartial and justified advice - I apologise for not making myself clear.

Also, in terms of experience, we have used and have expertise with almost every major staffing software that exists on the market, from an end-user perspective (daily basis), as well as from a vendor perspective. We have also been involved in several small to large scale staffing software implementations across the globe, in many differing verticals.

In summary, we have been on both sides of the fence, and the data we have collected has proven to be extremely valuable to many others who have decided to focus on their core staffing business, and leave the search for a solution to industry experts.

Once again apologies I was not able to help, and In the meantime, best of luck in the search for your new solution.

Kind Regards,

Pan Eight Consulting

I guess I grossly misunderstood your first comment. Sorry to sound so jaded, but when you have been in the business atmosphere, especially sales, staffing, etc. you tend to be that way. Again I am sorry for sounding so rude, but when I noticed you were a consulting firm that was willing to help me, first thing I thought was.....sure you wanted to help me....for a fee. I would appreciate any advice, tips, or information on the staffing software that is out there. Now IF you are willing to give that advice freely and share with me a little of what you have learned over the years, I would most greatly appreciate it. Any information I can get would be detremental to my research right now. I am not in the position to pay for that advice, and that is why I am utilizing blogs and discussion forums to gain the knowledge I am seeking. Again I am very sorry and maybe, just maybe you would be willing to assist me the best you can for the amazing fee of.....FREE!

Hi Carissa,

That is very gracious of you.

First of all, I need to understand the size of your organisation, and some high-level processes that you perform with regards to staffing. A little about your business objectives will also help define your optimum solution.

That will also help me determine the technolgy platform and model best suited to your requirements (Web/Client/Server etc). I will be able to explain all of the options.

Perhaps, it may be better to have this conversation over email - feel free to drop me a line. (enquiries@paneight.com)

(In case you are asking why I am doing this for the huge price of....free :-) we find the value of Networking to be priceless. Also, I love helping SMB's thrive in this difficult climate for what really is not too effort on my part).

Wonderful! When I get a free chance, I will email you a little about the company I work for and our ultimate goal in getting a new front end program. Thank you again for your patience and I hope with your knowledge, I can gain a better perspective on what will work for us.
