Event Description

Patient satisfaction already influences how healthcare consumers decide which hospitals they visit. Metrics like HCAHPS scores are also being used to adjust rates for Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements, penalizing hospitals with low patient satisfaction.

Yet, there's a major resource that will improve patient satisfaction scores at a hospital - its people. For instance, a sample of RN candidates from SkillSurvey's research showed that 12.6% of candidates scored medium or low on HCAHPS measures. Would you hire them?

By the end of this session, the participant will be able to:

  1. Understand the importance of HCAHPS to their organization.
  2. Articulate how HR can make an impact on their organization's HCAHPS efforts.
  3. Evaluate their hiring process relative to best practices for screening talent for HCAHPS excellence.
