Recruiters and Police Officers have a lot in common when it comes to why we pulled you over...out of the clear blue.... Sometimes it's obvious

Speaking for myself, as a recruiter, I know talent when I see it -- but I will always call on you, my target, to confirm or dismiss my contention that we need to talk about a position I have in mind now or in the future.

So funny!  Seriously, though, I've many times had the same thought that there is an inevitable intrusiveness in the Recruiting process, which is still highly justifiable.  It comes down to "If you got a warrant, I guess you're gonna come in." -- "Truckin'" by the Grateful Dead.

You were pulled over, figuratively, ...out of the clear blue.... Because you clearly stood out.  BTW -- "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used for or against you in our evaluation of your candidacy for jobs known and unknown at this time.  Can you dig the words that are coming out of my mouth?"
