A message issued by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) to UK employers could be beneficial to those who are setting up a recruitment company and looking into outsourcing recruitment agency invoice financing.

Mike Petrook, spokesperson for the CMI, said that employers can maximise the potential of their businesses and their staff by making the most of transferable skills.

He explained: "There is certainly an increasing need for project work, and a number of organisations that we're talking to say that they are bringing different people for different projects.

"What they are doing there is looking at the skill sets that people offer and then when one project finishes they are looking to use those skills elsewhere."

His comments were made in the wake of a report by Capita Learning and Development warning that a major skills gap in the UK workforce is hampering British businesses.
