A new survey by Credant Technologies has revealed that City workers will keep working during their holidays - a trend that could be of interest to those looking to set up a recruitment agency.

Speaking to 1,000 UK city workers, 95 per cent admitted that they would take some means of keeping in contact with the office and responding to emails with them on their trips.

Around 46 per cent of workers divulged that, should they not continue to work, they would be unable to relax due to a fear of having to catch up upon their return, or missing important information.

Smartphones are the most popular way of keeping abreast of work during a break, as well as working remotely when travelling between meetings.
