Total Back Office Solutions can give you recruitment agency formation advice

A recruitment industry expert has highlighted how professionals could set up and run their businesses from home and has spoken about the advantages of doing so.

Writing on peer-to-peer site LinkedIn, Karen Mattonen explained how she has successfully run her own recruitment company from home, serving everything from small businesses to Fortune 50 companies.

Stressing that working from makes no difference to the success of the company - aside from the benefit of lower overheads - she does highlight that the onus is on the individual to make the business work and that success will not come instantly.

She comments that to be successful in recruitment it is sometimes necessary to work eight to ten hours days - occasionally 12 - in order to find the right candidate for clients, as well as convincing them to consider changing jobs.

Recently, Graham Jones, writing for Human Resources Magazine, stressed the need for chief executive officers to make the best decisions for the company's future, rather than just the safest for themselves, in the current climate.
