...do clients send an email asking for your help on 2 (juicy) searches and then go dark?

...do candidates not read a job description or refer to it in any way?

....does this guy I'm viewing use the term "Synergy Leader" in his Linkedin profile?

I'll be back with more.  Feel free to add your own...

...do employees think they know more about recruiting and what's good for this or that position than the recruiter does? No, I won't be interviewing your spouse/neighbor/cousin/bank teller/garbage man/ex-spouse/roommate/paper boy for role he or she couldn't be ANY LESS QUALIFIED FOR. I love you, referring employee, but I want to smack you repeatedly about the head with the employee referral program. Stay away from my desk.

...do Thanksgiving guests want you to take a look at their ipad, smart phone, etc when you say you're a software recruiter?

LOL, but they are "quick learners"

...do clients take too long in the hiring process?

This is a dangerous question - but I certainly agree with all the ones mentioned.  My favorite is managers who give me the worst job descriptions with no details and expect me to "fix it" - who knows best about the job?  My other favorite is candidates who readily admit "I haven't done any research on your company and I really don't have any questions."  I am sure there are more but I try not to dwell on them

Why do recruiters insist on making every "new" technology into something it clearly is not?  Why do recruiters more or less ruin every new "place to unwind on the internet" by posting their nonstop stream of BS....?

Wow - it should be an open forum for people to express frustrations.  If you don't like the forum - don't read the posts.

Uh, Lisa - if that was directed at me I think you may have just misread my sarcasm.  I was talking about "them" - not "us".

Smiles!  :)

Exactly. I miss the old days when Facebook was just a place for me to post pictures of food and fight with my highly political brother in law. Now candidates are looking me up over there.... Boo.

Synergy Leader... duh! he's building his 'brand" exactly how some career expert genius / social media ninja taught him to do. Oh my! Can only imagine the barf-fest of an elevator pitch that dude must spew all over anyone pretending to care.

Yes, what you do is put two trending words together and make that your title.  So what if it makes no sense, it's cool.

Because we don't pester them enough.
