What an ex-AIG employee is doing to stimulate jobs in this economy and save America one job at a time

Founder of JobsDirectUSA, Saving America One Job at a Time

Jacksonville, FL – Seven years ago Carlos Gil was a part-time shoe salesman earning minimum wage, today he is working around the clock to help a growing body of unemployed Americans return back to the workforce. At age 25, Carlos has already made a name for himself while representing Fortune’s largest financial corporations as an employee. Through his consulting firm, CXG Group, Carlos is now making an even greater impact amongst Corporate America and in the lives of Americans nationwide through his mission he calls "Saving America One Job at a Time.”

Carlos’ quick rise as an emerging CEO and leader of tomorrow, is best categorized as fate than by choice. Back on the morning of November 6th 2008, while employed by American International Group (AIG), Carlos was informed that he was being laid off as a result of the economy and a nationwide reduction in sales force. Now unemployed Carlos, a husband and father of two, had no other choice but to turn uncertainty in an opportunity of a lifetime.

Carlos immediately became involved with the online networking community of LinkedIn. It is here where Carlos immediately recognized that his next career move, and calling, would be to help others, in need of finding employment. Carlos’ answer to providing America with a resource that will help millions back to work is through his creation of JobsDirectUSA (see www.jobsdirectusa.com). JobsDirectUSA is designed as a completely free resource to Job Seekers where they can create a profile, upload their resume, search for a new job and be seen by every registered employment recruiter of JobsDirectUSA. While Carlos recognizes that the job board industry already has anywhere from approximately 40,000 to 60,000 websites online, including “niche” or industry specific boards, he is enthusiastic that in due time JobsDirectUSA will be at the same recognition level as Monster, CareerBuilder or Hot Jobs. Carlos’ theory on giving back to corporate America, through JobsDirectUSA, is by offering a cost-effective alternative that will lead to thousands of jobs being posted, and featured on his website, by extending a membership option which includes unlimited job ads for less than two-hundred dollars annually.

In just four months since being laid-off Carlos says: "Today as an entrepreneur, while 27,000 Americans are laid-off each business day, I am proud and honored to be in a position where I have a resource that gives back to those that have been affected by unemployment. However I, and those who join me in this effort, have a long way to go before we can claim success.” Besides running day-to-day operations for JobsDirectUSA, Carlos is actively hiring business development Account Executives throughout the United States. In addition, Carlos has plans to unveil forthcoming resources that will further aide job seekers in finding employment while promoting the urgency to get jobs posted amongst the resources available online such as his “30 Employers in 30 Days” campaign currently running from March 9th – April 17th (Visit cxggroup.com/blog to read more).
