There are four components of accomplishing a task:

1. Intention
2. Focus
3. Intensity
4. Execution

1. Intention: Use the Telephone Discipline tool on the free downloads section of my site (scroll to the bottom). Highlight the number of connects per hour that you intend to make. I was the first trainer in the industry to bring the concept of throughput (widgets per hour in the manufacturing world) to recruiting. Just by making yourself aware of how many you are connecting with, and your intention, you have energy to push through your barriers and hit your goals.

2. Focus. You are now focusing on one task at a time, reaching another person. You are tuning out everything else.

3. Intensity. You are now placing an intense amount of energy on accomplishing that task. Because you have created an intention and are measuring that progress to hitting your goal, you now are aware of your progress and will add more energy, intensity, to accomplishing it.

4. Execution. The execution of a task is how good you are at performing the task, such as how good you are at developing a rapport, sifting through their concerns, overcoming them, and moving them forward in the process.

The telephone discipline tool will help you accomplish three of these four necessities to achievement.
