Outsourcing accounts and other services can help achieve a proper work-life balance.

New recruitment agency owners may want to consider outsourcing accounts and other services in order to free up some of their time and also achieve a proper work-life balance.

Running a new company requires a lot of dedication, which means some recruitment professionals may be putting in a lot of hours in order to ensure their business succeeds.

However, this can be detrimental to their health. It is therefore vital to ensure the right work-life balance is achieved, according to Gill Trevelyan, head of good practice services at the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service.

She said: "It really is important to get your work-life balance right - in other words being fully engaged and doing your job properly but also making sure you take time for the other aspects of your life."

A recent study published in the European Health Journal revealed that those who work three hours or more than the typical seven hour day are 60 per cent more likely to suffer from illnesses such as non-fatal heart attacks and angina.
