Sounds good. Thants for the invite. Im fairly new here too. Irvine is a great area in So Cal to live and work. Tons of innovative companies in the area.
Hi Susan, thx for all the unsolicited praise on your profile! I hope you get a lot out of the course. I see Steve Ahlquist is among the folks you're networking with here -- definitely pursue that. DRC gets sourcing and thus is a good company for you to experience with, if you can work out something (e.g., after you've been through my course, maybe you can do a test sourcing project for them?).
What I'm eager to say is "thank you!" Upon Jobirn.com, we keep it clear in mind that we are doing our best to provide a better and better service to our users (our friends :)) so our friends would feel at home whenever they visit us. Because of that, we appreciate a lot that our friends could give us some feedback and advises about the site (our home:)) since it is still in its beta stage now. We have a dream that whenever our friends visit us,they would like to say: so nice to come back!
Thank you so much!
Thanks Susan for accepting my invite. Please let me know if I can be of any assistance on the technology recruiting you may have open with your clients.
Thank you for the note :) i'm not recruiting from Manila. My network is basically based in Grater China and North Asia. I will be back in the US sometime this year and April 2009. I will be in CA though but I will try and visit the east coast.
Hi Susan,
Thanks for the invite. I am in a very cool sourcing group at Lockheed Martin doing some very interesting work. Please contact me any time if I may be of assistance.
Thanks, Bill Murphy
Thanks Susan. Sorry your not available to join. I believe that registration also provides a full playback if that helps. Here's a link to a past article on social networks and recruiting that may be of interest.
Cheers! Susan
Sure! What would you like to know? Blogspot is very easy to use and in minutes you can set up your own blog. The hardest part is picking a name and researching topics. I use all the social networking sites I'm a part of to promote it as well as sending an email alert to my network to increase traffic to the site. Send me an email for more info. jmiller-merrell@sbcglobal.net!
I visited your sister's boutique business website, great effort.
I am happy to see that we share interest in reading, especially Tom.

Hi Susan, your question about the deep web is interesting. Unfortunately, by definition, deep web pages don't come up much in normal search results (hopefully that will be remedied) because it's typically dynamic content contained within databases that doesn't get spidered. There are some exceptions (e.g., see Johnny's examples at http://johnny.ihackstuff.com/ghdb.php for some extreme examples in practice, or http://dir.yahoo.com/Computers_and_Internet/Internet/World_Wide_Web/Deep_Web/?skw=deep.web+databases for more of an overview -- even try the query "deep web" databases), but in general, your best bet is to find the relevant databases, then go to those sites and run your specific queries to pull up the content.
And every other week Maureen takes over the last half hour and answers callers' questions about Telephone Sourcing.
If you have a lot of questions and it looks like you do, why don't we arrange for you to call in this Wed at 1pm? You don't have to be afraid because you don't even have to use your real name.
And in turn, I act as the secretary on Maureen's chats on MagicMethod because the chat function doesn't save the the conversations automatically. (You can see that it barely works at all).
Thanks Susan! Looking forward to having you join the conversation today! Great seeing you on Twitter as well and I'm enjoying learning about Pink Olive!
What a great coincidence. Both my parents have been in Buenos Aires for the past 19 years and they love it. They enjoy traveling, but they truly made this home and I understand why. I have been coming and going for a while between the US and Argentina. I am spending my days in Buenos Aires now and making arrangements to stay here for a while since my employer (Avature) has an office down here in the wonderful barrio de Palermo.
I am also fairly new in the online world. I arrived late to the party, so it feels a bit like being around drunk people when you just had your first morning coffee - the slow, awkward new girl in town. But I think this party will go on for quite some time, so I say we got here at primetime. :)
I look forward to seeing you around. I see you also Twitt?
Thanks Susan - very nice to meet you! I am formerly from Ipswich, MA, and also maintain an apartment in NYC at 15th & 5th. Let's stay in touch! Best, Keith

You don't have to get used to my sense of humour because I don't have a sense of humour. This is just who I am. (Didn't you read my bio on my page?).
I run The Recruiting Animal Show.
And every other week Maureen takes over the last half hour and answers callers' questions about Telephone Sourcing.
If you have a lot of questions and it looks like you do, why don't we arrange for you to call in this Wed at 1pm? You don't have to be afraid because you don't even have to use your real name.

So, that's me. Thanks for asking. You can reach me at recruitinganimal@gmail.com
You know how everyone on this site always says "How can I help?" I don't know if I can but you're welcome to ask. Rgds
