JOB TITLE: Engineering Recruiter

DIRECT REPORTS: None
INDIRECT REPORTS: Research and Sourcing Analyst

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Assist in the development and maintenance of key relationships with professional organizations and other recruiting sources.
Assist with the development of a pool of qualified candidates for first level evaluation.
Create a “hot list” of hard-to-fill positions and immediately interview candidates for these positions.
Take job orders and determine appropriate search process.
Prepare job descriptions for posting on internet sources and newspapers.
Interview candidates, via telephone and/or in person.
Complete appropriate pre-interview checks, i.e., reference checks.
Schedule interview appointments with client’s human resources department.
Extend job offers and process paperwork for submitting to WSI payroll.
Compose all related correspondence, letters to candidates, clients, etc.
Follow up and track progress on each position and candidate.
Serve as candidate advocate with client/hiring managers.
Develop key measurement tools to identify process deficiencies and create efficiencies.
Evaluation of recruitment efforts, tools, strategies, and results.
Build and maintain strong business alliance with existing clients through activities that enhance the partnership.
Perform and maintain market research on current clients.
All other duties as assigned.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing or related field and two years experience in Engineering recruiting in a highly dynamic and diverse organization or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Attention to detail and quality with a sense of urgency.
Must be engaging and have good listening skills.
Must be able to plan, organize, prioritize and remain flexible
Strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with both internal and external customers
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a variety of settings and with all levels of people.
Confidentiality is imperative. Must be trusted to keep sensitive information secure.
Sound analytical skills, ability to prioritize information and make appropriate recommendations.
Professional Engineering Recruitment/Human Resources Experience: The candidate must have demonstrated recruitment or human resources management experience in handling challenging human resource/recruitment issues in a diverse and dynamic environment.
Exceptional Customer Service Skills and Experience: The candidate must have demonstrated appropriate customer service attitudes and service skills in a variety of human resources settings.
Teamwork/Collaboration: The candidate must posses demonstrate skills and abilities in collaborative efforts with experience in team/project oriented activities.
Flexibility: The candidate must have demonstrated the ability to adapt to a variety of issues with successful outcomes and demonstrate openness to new ideas and approaches.
Interpersonal Skills: The candidate must possess the ability to relate well to people and work in cooperation with others to effectively coordinate activities in order to accomplish tasks.
PC/Technology Skills: The candidate must have a basic proficiency in word processing spreadsheets, Internet and presentation software.
Judgment: The candidate must have demonstrated ability to act independently upon information and make decisions that achieve optimal results.
Organization/Time Management Skills: The candidate must have exceptional time management skills with a proven history of handling multiple tasks effectively and be detail oriented.
