So what are folks thinking? Going to hold true to form with everyone chasing the guns of Philly? Looks like the Rays are going to be in a battle Jon. I know Bill is happy the Yanks came out strong tonight after rain delay ; )

If the Cards can get past the Philly Starters they will do better against the Bullpen, but they may need Cerrano's Jobu to "wake-up bats" earlier than the 9th.

Damn Yankees...Go Detroit! Go Cards!

Rays will go on to beat the Rangers IF David Price turns up tomorrow and frankly I am not confident about that. He is just too predicatable and has no secondary pitch to turn to.

If the Rays can't go all the way then my support goes to the Cards.

As long as it is not the Yankees!

OH YES!  Cards WIN!

OH YES! Yanks Lose!

@Tim--when Carpenter was knocked I was chewing on a towel.  When Lee was knocked out I was still white knuckled on my chew towel...but CARDS pulled it out.

How'd you like the collision at home plate?  Didn't like the one on 2nd base.

Die hard Cards fan here.  I was afraid that our bullpen would tank it (allowing 6 runs in the 9th inning)  but Sunday showed that our bullpen is actually pretty good.  I'm still upset with Tony for pitching Carp on 3 days rest but it all worked out.  Work stops at 4pm today when the Cards come on.  Go Cards!

Oh, and I hope the Yanks lose badly today.

Amen to that!

Bill - I better be sure never to mention your name in the old neighborhood ; )

yeah, i'm dead to them.  but even last night.  somehow the strike zone was tiny for CC and large for Verlander.  That's what I'm hearing from yankee fans today.

CC bad...Verlander Good! Yankers bad...Tigers' GREAT! (As Tony the Tiger would say.)
sorry Jon - I bet it is because you guys sucked me into watching a Rays game today. I am like William H. Macy in the Cooler.

Hey if you had asked me at Spring Training if I would have been happy to make the play offs I would have said "Hell Yeah!"

If we can add a Shortstop who can hit, strengthen the bullpen a little (we have enough quality starters to move some of them there), and perhaps find a more consitent catcher then next year......

I am probably going to join Bill and support anyone but the Yankees now (although probably would prefer The Cards).

Good luck Jeanene & Tino!

@ jon- ABY (anyone but yankees) is my first tier preference.   My overall preference is for a Brewers-Rangers series (because I like both Ron Roenicke and Ron Washington).

Love to see Washington get his recognition but since I'm NL to the core, I'd go for Brewers.
