Hi Mike, I use ECS, Employer Contractor Services. I was referred to them and have been using for a few years. I researched a bunch and found that most don't pay you until after the client pays and/or you have to call for a quote each time or the percentage is on the bill rate vs. pay rate. ECS does a fixed percentage on the pay rate, so you can negotiate with your client on bill rate. They also pay you weekly, before the client pays, which is very nice. If you call, ask for Ed Kelley or Bob Brown. I am not associated with them, just a very happy customer. :) Good luck, Pam

Hi Mike, I started a similar thread after narrowing it down to 2 back office companies. Pam responded to my thread and told me about ECS just last week. I gave them a call and after speaking with them I immediately went with them. This was after speaking to 6 companies and narrowing down to 2 and ECS wasnt even one of them. I think they are going to be a great company especially for startups

Thanks you.

Hi Mike - Have been using this service since mid 90's . They have not changed their rates since 97, a testament to their stability in a volatile marketplace : http://payrollremote.com/

From 1969 through 1989 Hobel 2, Inc. provided contract systems and programming support to over 100 companies in the Los Angeles, California area. In 1989 H2 discontinued providing contract systems and programming support and started to provide, throughout the United States, financial and administrative support to companies that were like H2. These are companies that have people out on time and material assignments. H2 past experience has allowed us to understand the problems of our clients, since we once were in the same type of business.

Hi Mike - Have you checked out H2 yet ? Go to my LinkedIn profile : @LinkedIn profiles for 2012. http://www.linkedin.com/pub/profile/0/73b/006. Not just for our our " bankroll consultant " service, but, I have a couple IT clients in your neck of the woods, w/ quite a few contacts in the Philly area that may be useful to you. I am an 'Open Connector' on LI, and be happy to help in any manner I can. Have a great TGIF. Hope the snow-storm skirts past you :-)

Hi Mike - Did you ever get your needs filled for contractor payroll services ?

Regarding Ms. Claughton's recommendation for contract payroll services, Mr. Brown at ECS was very informative.

Bob was very helpful providing me concrete examples of how ECS can assist a recruiting office like mine.  If you are exploring contract payroll services, Bob would be a good first contact.

bobbrown@ecshome.com or his direct line (678) 540-6641.
