MY MOM! - Photo - Odelia Chavez - WORLD WAR II "V" FOR VICTORY WAR FACTORY WORKER ID BADGE - circa 1942
For my Mom, mother's day was everyday
she had to contend with all or some portion
of 13 sons and daughters--each with different
personalities, needs and ambitions.
She's long gone now but is always close--
in our hearts and memories.
Mom put all of us in motion--
and I'm most appreciative
to this day
for her way of setting the bar high,
and getting the best from each of us.
Mom set the tone and direction
for us all to aspire to. And
to this day we are still in awe
of her toil and sacrifice for
her children.
So for those of you who still have
a mom around--
count your blessings and get closer to
her while you still can.
Let your relationship blossom into wonderful memories
about a wonderful person--your Mother.
