As a Senior Recruiter I don't really see much value in the services they provide. Frankly, with Linked-in I get just as much value for free. There are other niche sites such as "Jobsinthemoney" and sixfigurejobs which provide a much better bang for your buck.
theladders.com is still free for employers, I use it exclusively for our Business Development Positions and have made great hires. I spoke with them just yesterday and was told that the candidates pay a small monthly fee to push their resume and it free for employers.

when you search for candidates can you view all their info?
Hi Rich,

Thanks for the compliments. I wanted to point out that we only allow 75 contacts per day using our "mass contact" tool. There's no limit on the number of people you can contact in any given day, but once you use the mass contact tool for 75 people we shut that off (until the next day).

We also do monitor overall contact levels and will review people who send out a large number of contacts in any given day.
