Hello,

Just curious how others word things in their contracts. We have made changes over the years, but I am curious how you describe base salary? Do you say "base salary" or annual compensation (in that case, do you then bill on other forms of guaranteed compensation)? How have you had to modify your service fees in the past several months?
Thanks/Amy

Hi Amy. My fee statement simply indicates "starting salary" and has never changed. I would think for the most part that should cover the vast majority of career fields where a salary is paid. We don't typically work on hourly positions but I would assume "starting annualized compensation" would suffice.

Recruiting for sales positions would be where the trouble could surface. That could get tricky.

Good luck!
Thank you Jerry for taking the time to respond. It is in regards to full time work-our typical contract reads annual compensation but we are currently facing a situation where the candidate is going to work the first two months on a part time basis, then go to full time. You know the drill!
Take care!
