As part of this weeks' celebration of the basics of Recruiting known as Recruiting101 here on RecruitingBlogs.com:

The only reason you the recruiter gets paid what you get paid for making a placement is because you are legitimately solving a real problem the company who has given you the order has. There is no way they would pay you 20-30% of the candidates first year salary if a real problem did not exist.

Once you validate that what I am saying is true, It makes it much easier to start your day in order to look under every rock and to shake every tree and be a pit bull. You find the right candidate and your client signs the check. It's a beautiful business.
