Sourcing 1.0 - It All Started With A Quest For Names . . . Long, Long Ago In a Galaxy Far, Far Away . . .

And it went a little somethin' like this . . . (if you haven't eaten any carrots in the last 24 hours, feel free to click for a closer look):

Now, the average layman might look at the above and say, "What if, just what if, some of the better people in the talent pool didn't have names or profiles on the web? . . . or what if, just what if, the receptionist didn't give out the names of her company's people?"
So if some of the Persons/Performers that the Sourcer was looking for didn't have names/profiles on the web, and if their current company's Receptionist didn't freely give out their names to a telephone name scrubber . . . Would the Person/Performer know who the Sourcer was? Would they care?

Even if they would normally care, meaning because they're nice people . . . How could they, meaning in consideration of their 'non-existence' . . . in today's model of Sourcing 1.0?
As you can imagine, this leads to further questions . . . smarter questions, if you ask me. But then again, I'm of course biased because I help Recruiting Organizations solve this problem ;)
