Prediction: This is going to work. Don't know when. But it will eventually.

I definitely agree that the recruiting industry needs an overhaul in order to address today's changing market. I can't say too much here, but very soon we will be launching a solution that will fundamentally change the recruiting industry...stay tuned.

I saw the BountyJobs demo yesterday, after I became a member. As the former Director of Trading Operations for Global Food Exchange, I know a thing or two about B2B online exchanges and what it takes to make them successful. I also know about recruiting.

The BountyJobs system is outstanding. Simple and elegant.

The concept will work. The only thing that remains to be seen is "can the system develop enough search liquidity to capture the limited attention of the recruiting community?"

My guess is yes.

The fact is that I have some exceptional passive candidates which I have accumulated over the years in my personal database of over 80,000 total candidates. Bounty, ideally, allows me the opportunity to match some of these with offerings that I may not have had.

What I am finding is that the engagement process is slow. Bounty gives employers 7 days to respond to a request for engagement. That's much too long. The time should be no more than 72 hours which is already longer than needed and expedient

If an employer chooses to wait the full 7 days (and in most cases this is a frontline HR rep) then by the time the candidate is actually presented to the hiring manager by the HR rep and an interview is requested, it might be too late.

I'm used to asking my candidates what their availabilty for a phone and/or in person interview is within the next week. Using Bounty I have to ask them what their availability is in the next month. For some very busy professionals that's not only impossible to determine and sounds ridiculous, but it also sounds like I have a client who is not really that interested.

I really really find BountyJobs one of the more compelling HR services I have seen. These guys are awesome and I love BountyJobs, but I would so like to see more jobs posted. Gary, go win go succeed, I will cheer you on for your bringing a new model that works for all involved!
