Does anyone have any recommendations for training programs, books, audio that will help a person with no recruiting experience become effective with full-cycle recruiting?
I've seen some programs online with Bill Radin and a company called Identifize, when I search for "rookie recruiter training." Has anyone benefited from these? Maybe AIRS certification program?
Where can one find the best value in rookie recruiter training for the money?
Thanks a bunch!

Hi Christine - We have a great webinar section on the main page here on RBC. Just click on the webinar tab. We also hold 2 webinars monthly that are free for everyone.
What exactly are you looking for training on? There are many trainers here in the community that can help.
Hi Ryan,
Thanks for your reply! I guess right now I'm looking for comprehensive training on the most effective ways to source candidates, conduct screening and interviews, and make recruiting calls. Basically, everything after the receiving of the job order, targeted to complete newbies. And maybe insights on how to build a successful career in recruiting from the get-go?
I've got a recruiter friend who is graciously willing to let me help assist in filling a few of his orders. I'm more than a little excited, but I also don't know how to start. I've placed an ad on Craigslist, but that's about it! Lol.
I will definitely check out those webinars. They look really good.

Check out Danny Cahill's rookie training. He holds it several times a year and it's a very comprehensive soup to nuts two day training on everything, recruiting, client development, sourcing, managing the process, etc. I've sent my new recruiters here. www.accordingtodanny.com
Good luck!
Hi Christine,
We have had some success with Barb Bruno's Top Producer Recruiter training program. Her program is web based and covers all aspects of the placement process. She also has "live" training for recruiters and managers. We have been using it for 1.5 years and I have had all of our recruiters (even senior level ones) complete the training.
We also recently invested in Next Level Exchange (NLE) which is a web based program covering the complete placement process. They also have recorded videos of Big Billers, and trainers in the recruiting industry.
Personally, I would avoid AIRS training until the person fully understands the placement process. (Unless you plan to have the new person do a lot of internet sourcing).
I hope this was of help to you!
Regards,
Tom Byrne
Hi Christine - try irina shamaeva's webinars (boolean strings) on how to source candidates on the web. She also has a certification program. Also look at Glen Cathey's blog (boolean blackbelt) for blogs on sourcing candidates.
These are only candidate sourcing classes. I am sure to be a successful recruiter you need many more classes such as the ones offered by others including Bill Radin.

There are a lot of paid resources out there, but my strongest recommendation would be to connect on a 1 :: 1 level with other independent recruiters before investing lots of money on training.
