Teen stabbed in leg, but makes it to job interview, then hospital

And we have been so hard on GenY, or is it the good ole Canadian work ethic at play?

A 16-year-old Toronto student showed some real grit Wednesday and really impressed some potential employers, says The Canadian Press.

Despite being stabbed in the leg he showed up for a job interview instead of going to the hospital.

He another 16-year-old old were stabbed near a high school, sending the collegiate into lockdown and heavily armed police swarming through the area.

But staff at a veterinary clinic said the student showed up on time for his 1 p.m. co-op placement interview.

But when employees noticed blood on his leg, they called police.

He and the other student were finally taken to hospital.

"He did really well on the interview and we were very proud of him for sticking to the appointment," said veterinarian Kent Ackerman, adding he was "shocked" the teen would do so.

Police were looking for two or three suspects seen running north out of the area.

Initial reports of a gun being seen prompted Emergency Task Force teams to search the collegiate

I don't know what this guy's particular guy's responsibility was in this particular fight but there's a bunch of kids here in Toronto whom you wouldn't want your son or daughter palling around with and they're making this city seem like a much crappier place to be.

It seems like every single day there is a knifing or a shooting at some high school or night club and it usually involves a bunch of guys associated with gangs who come from certain "at risk" neighbourhoods.

The Toronto Star has a writer named Royson James who blames everything the killers do on the nonviolent citizenry. I, personally, don't mind the government spending money to straighten these kids out but I hate him blaming everything on me.

Lou Dobbs the other night said there are a million gang members in this country (USA). You'll have to be patient while the Valentine PajamaGram ad runs through...
Am I the only one who admires his commitment, but questions his judgment?
Let me take a stab at this: Vet office means there are people there who can handle these things. It appears as if they too continued with the interview after noticing the blood so I don't believe his stabbing was life threatening. I would want him working with my pets because of his judgment...

Vin, you're a genius. This energetic lad could stomach the blood involved in work as a veterinarian - and he's certainly used to dealing with animals. But is it possible that he would steal the animals' drugs and bring a gun to work. Yes, very.
Very possible RA...yet as we know, life is not for the squeamish.
