About Me:
I decided to branch out and network with other recruiters after working in the staffing industry as a Recruiting Assistant for the past 10 years. I currently live in Hamilton, NJ with my fiance' and 2 boys. My personality is very upbeat, happy and I just enjoy having a good time. I've always been told that my personality and how I interact with people would make me a person that would go far in the staffing industry. With that being said I decided to become an Independent Recruiter, mainly working with other recruiters and companies to help them fill their open needs. I like the day to day interaction you get when you're dealing with candidates and just meeting people because you never know where your next job order will come from. I'm all about establishing relationships with people from all backgrounds and industries.

Interests:
I enjoy traveling even though I don't get to do it often but I'm hoping that will change for me. My family is the number important thing in my life so any opportunity that I get to be with them I will always take advantage of it. Life is just too short so you have to live it to the fullest.

Goals:
To become an established independent recruiter so that I have to flexibility to make my own schedule.

Values:
Relationship building, honesty, being true to my services.

I want to become...
the recruiter that can make a difference.

I want to have...
the ability to provide a service to candidates and clients that would be so different that what you get from a larger agency. I'm more about adding a personal touch to the relationships I build.

“The only place where your dream becomes impossible is in your own thinking.” - Robert H. Schuller

"What I love about recruiting is that everyday is a learning experience no matter how many years of experience you have."

Placement Fee Structure on Commission Only Positions

Hi there,

I need a little help.

I have a new client that is looking to hire within their company but they're looking to pay 15-20% commission to the person they hire in this role. The person won't have a base salary.

My question is how do I determine what the placement fee should be from a commission position?

Anyone work with these types of…

Resume & Candidate Interview training

I'm in search of a website or training software that could possibly train people on how to become better recruiters. Things like how to screen through resumes to find the perfect candidates for job orders and how to interview a candidate the right way no matter what industry they are looking to apply to. Please feel free to send me a message or post something to my page so that I can read it. I'm trying to get this information for a friend that wants to go into business with me and she doesn't… Continue

I am the “Admin” for the Recruiters On LinkedIn group, www.recruitingblogs.com/group/linkedin. You have recently joined and this is a "welcome" to the group and "here is how it works".

Over the past year I have been experimenting how best to facilitate members being able to connect with each other. Some want to connect with everyone and some are looking for a few meaningful connections.

1-2 times per week I send a group introduction message with 10-15 new members and reintroducing others.

What this means for you is simple, do you wish to be introduced to the group?

You have 4 options from which to choose:

(A) “Open Networker” with name, email address, and LinkedIn URL as you want to connect with anyone and everyone.

(B) “General Introduction” with name and LinkedIn URL as you are specific about who you want to connect with.

(C) “Lurker” no announcement will be made as you want to be on the sidelines connecting with people as you wish.

(D) “Super Open Networker” which is (A) plus having your contact information on the group page.

A caution on the “Open Networker”, you may be inundated with invitations to connect. For some this is exactly what they are hoping for and others this could be a pain.

I do ask, if you receive invitations from members you do not want to connect with that you “Archive” the message versus “I don’t know” so the sender is not penalized by LinkedIn although how you handle this is up to you.

Again your options are (A), (B), (C), (D).

Please include your LinkedIn URL and email address you prefer to receive invitations and send to paul@mnheadhunter.com

Thank you for your time.

P.
