Resume & Candidate Interview training

I'm in search of a website or training software that could possibly train people on how to become better recruiters. Things like how to screen through resumes to find the perfect candidates for job orders and how to interview a candidate the right way no matter what industry they are looking to apply to. Please feel free to send me a message or post something to my page so that I can read it. I'm trying to get this information for a friend that wants to go into business with me and she doesn't really have that much recruiting experience.

Thanks everyone for your assistance.

Peter Leftkowitz training is excellent. If your friend can afford it, I'd suggest actually going to his ranch for a three day trainining. I've taken it twice as the company I used to work for had Peter come in and teach all of us and that's exactly what he covers, how to 'innerview' where you really dig and get to know what drives the candidate, and how to source via the phone and also how to get clients. It's very thorough and it works. If your friend can't afford to actually go there, then I'd suggest either his video tapes or CDs which are very affordable. www.morgancg.com

I have a friend who invested in going to the training because she wanted to shift from being a teacher to a recruiter. After the training, she started working out of her house, on her own, which is very difficult (I always suggest people join an agency to learn from colleagues and shorten the learning curve and make more money initially). She's now going on 4 years or so, and is doing great...she's made well into six figures each year. Pretty good!

Hi Jennifer,

You might want to check out KeenHire. You should connect with Margaret Graziano too. She runs the show.

I don't have experience of Peter Leftkowitz and his stuff but if Pam recommends it's worth looking at closely, that's for sure.

Good luck. Let us know how you get on.
