Job Description
• Must have CCIE certification (written but lab can be waived)
• Work location may vary. NC is an option but the contractor can work anywhere but will ultimately need to sit on Client premises.
• Requires strong customer-facing skills.
• Thoroughly understand the current Cisco product line and hardware usage/placement recommendations.
• Develops complex network designs including the integration of a broad spectrum of networking and data center technologies as well as performance and capacity management and security measures.
• These designs may require the use of network appliances (e.g., WAN accelerators, load balancers, firewalls).
• Require complex IP network routing configurations (e.g., interaction between multiple routing protocols, route filters, route preferences).
• Thoroughly understand structured, hierarchical network design principles and industry best practices for LAN/WAN design.
• This includes the ability to audit existing network implementations against these best practices.
• Recommend remediation plans and design changes to standardize the implementation.
• Review and identify trends within LAN/WAN capacity and performance reports.
• Can provide Level 4 assistance during outages.
