Virtual Recruiting: What's the best way to get Quant-type candidates?

This is a description of the project I am working on at present, and a call out to all readers for ideas on how to succeed in this.

I am part of the Avature staff that will be starting a very large project with world's leader Risk Management, Indices & Analytics Solutions provider. It's indeed a super exciting project and we can't wait to start.

However, we are facing a challenge in finding top notch quant individuals (math geniuses, perfect GPA, dean's list type) who want to be part of the organization. From a virtual recruiting perspective (i.e., our team is recruiting remotely from different spots around the world), it is hard to beat the well-known "meet & greet" college recruiting programs most companies usually have, in which they send a designated HR person on campus to have soon-to-graduate folks sign in for a job at their firms as soon as they graduate.

Can anyone think of a way to gain presence in spite of our not being on campus physically?
