How do you use Facebook? Do you use your personal profile, or do you create a secondary/work only acccount for your recruiting efforts.
I use it personally, but have not felt comfortable using my personal profile for work purposes. This probably stems from the fact that I have two close personal friends who have been physically assaulted on the job. As a corporate recruiter I also recruit for a broad spectrum of positions from diesel mechanics and oilfield technicians, to high-level outside technical sales, and on occasion C-level positions. Due to the nature of the skill sets I often come across some really 'sketchy' characters.
How do you utilize these tools and ensure your personal safety? What safeguards do you use?
Also, has anyone had success using this for blue-collar/non professional recruiting?
