I work virtually and work in a couple different locations. I use Vonage so that I can take my work number with me, no matter where I choose to work from. I have noticed a couple consistent problems - if I receive a call while speaking and I flash over, when the original caller hangs up, I get disconnected from the new call. I spoke to Vonage and they have no answer.

Does anyone have a suggestion for phone service working virtually?

Tom, I used to use Vonage and I tried the one offered my Melaleuca also. I had the same problems you are having. Now I forward calls to my cell phone if I am going to be away or I just leave a message on my business phone to contact me via cell, or I check my messages frequently and use my cell phone. Not a great solution but I could not come up with any other.
Thanks Roxanne
Was using Vonage, but had to drop as quality of calls and even my voicemail recording was horrible. When I moved, I found Medicom - it is great in that you have unlimited national calling, remote voicemail access, and high speed internet, and cable for $119/month. When I travel, I forward or call in for messages. Always looking - If you hear of any other alternative then let me know!
Tom - I tried Vonage for a few months but had dropped calls and poor reception. It could have been Vonage or it could have been my ISP, Comcast, but that's another subject altogether. I now have a company Blackberry and use it exclusively for work so that I only have one phone number whether I am in the office or traveling. I've been doing this for a year and so far so good.
