Hi all,

Still pretty new here but figured this might be the most appropriate forum to put this question on as there seems to be more than a few clued up individuals!

I’m looking for an ATS or a CRM that has the ability to map candidates and clients to an actual geographical location on a map, by using their zip / postal code. I’ve been searching high and low and haven’t managed to find one that has what appears to be a relatively easy to function to integrate, at least from a developer’s point of view.

In simplest terms, what I have at the minute is the function for any listings in Outlook to be shown on a map one at a time on the Microsoft Maps function, but I’m looking for a tool that would allow me to see the distribution of multiple candidates and clients which Outlook clearly isn’t up to

Who can point me in the direction of an ATS / CRM that would allow me to do this!!??

Thanks,

Hi Jessica,

Thank you for your response.

Bullhorn looks like one of the stronger choices of Recruitment ATS on the market right now. It wasn’t clear from the site whether it offered the functionality I’m looking for, however but I’ll take your word for it! ;-)

In Outlook I currently have a function that connects me to Microsoft’s online mapping system. The first step is having a real ATS that does this, so Bullhorn and Akken (soon) look like suitable candidates.

What I am specifically looking for is an ATS that has an integrated mapping function, ala Bullhorn and Akken, but goes one step further and maps multiple candidates and / or clients on the same map. I want to be able to see the distribution of clients and candidates which then allows you to focus marketing efforts on certain geographical regions and identify trends...

Am I searching in vain?

Hi Leigh,

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for but Bullhorn has Google Maps integrated w/ their ATS so if you have a candidate/contact in your database it will show you where on the map they are. Akken's staffing software will be integrating that in the future too.

Cheers!

Hi Leigh,

Several vendors offer the Google Maps integration (us included, however we require that the end-user customer become a Google customer to use it, at least at the moment), and the Google geo API does do exactly as you describe- takes a dataset and pins them all to one map view. If you would like to see that in action, pls ping me via RBC email.

However, all your current ATS offers an easy export of the dataset, then you have all kinds of choices for geospatial display.

You might find this organization useful as they offer a lot of interesting value-adds beyond just the geo info (i.e. demographics)

Hi Martin,

Thanks for your input. I tried to ping you via internal email but failed miserably... still new here and there's no PM by member name function, it's all email based - or so it appears...

What you described sounds like just the solution I've been looking for. I'd be keen to see it in action to see that there's sensible ROI with it...

And when you say, become a Google customer... are we talking additional fees or simply having a user ID and registering freely for a maps API which then ties to your Google account?

Many thanks,

Leigh
