Do you think that certifications are helpful to you in your search for candidates, or are they really better for your resume. In other words, are the certfications worth the investment? SHRm, PHR, AIRS, etc.

An excellent question and one I myself am looking at getting feedback in. I think it really depends where in your career you are looking to go. If you are looking to be a sourcing ninja consider the AIR's CSSR and CIR. If you are looking at going the HR route consider getting the PHR first. I am actually looking at getting all three certifications before the year is out if I can afford it. My current company does not pay for certifications. Hope this helps.
