Corporate Micro blogging.... good or evil

Hi All

I am thinking about setting up a corporate micro blogging site for my company.. using yammer.

It sounds like a good idea in theory to me, as I have become a twitter convert. I am wondering if anyone has any examples of corporate micro blogging working or otherwise for me?

It works for their target market in terms of certain roles conducive to Gen-Y.

If I tried to do the same within the niches I recruit, it would go over like a lead balloon. There aren't too many engineers or execs on Twitter . . . with the exception of software engineers or ad-agency execs.
