Clearly background screening is the most effective way to protect the recruiter, the employer, and the business form costly hiring mistakes and possible litigation. To conduct a thorough screening that meets legal requirements requires a unique set of skills and knowledge, thus outsourcing just makes sense. A couple years ago I read an article published in Occupational Health & Safety titled "Background screening and Safe Hiring" which states: " An employer should look for a professional partner, not just an information vendor selling information at the lowest price."
