Gen X has had it tougher than Baby Boomers and Gen Y

There I said it! I can feel the barbs coming as I type. Well bring it baby! You all know it's true.

Baby Boomers born in a time of well let's say it "BOOM!" They had time to be hippies and protest against anything they wanted to. They could take time to "find themselves". Now becoming the "when I was a boy/girl" generation.

Gen Yers, ahhh the generation we love to look at. The entitled generation, the world was their oyster, people changed management styles to deal with them, companies made them their focus, and began believing, listening and restructuring to appease them.

Gen Xers, nothing. Finishing school in the late 80s early 90's, when there was another world recession. The world didn't owe them a living, they had to start from scratch, at the bottom as their parent made them believe. Prospered in the 2000's early if they were lucky and are now supposed to become the leaders to assume responsibility when the market hits the lows it hits now. Talk about a bum deal.

Just in time to steer the ship for enough time to keep it warm for Gen Y to take the reigns when prosperity happens once more.

All conversation is based around Gen Ys and Baby Boomers, Gen Xs just need to deal.

Well you see, that's tough guys, but to quote the 4 Yorkshire men below. "ay ay ay, Well you see well we 'ad it tuff"

Regardless of what "generation" one belongs to - life is tough..it's tougher if you're stupid, lazy or unfocused, but it's tough for everyone.

Thomas, I'm with you.

Sandra, as always.. wow. I understand why I'm always hungry! I'm part of the sandwich generation, phew, I thought it was just because I'm fat. :)

Will become interesting when my parents get older and I will have to repay the care and support they gave me growing up and potentailly making decisions for them. Whilst juggling the same responsibility with my kids.
