I would have to say that my future in recruiting is a culmination of my life travels to date. If you think about it aren't we all the same in that regard? My Grad and Undergrad were both in business/HR and Organizational development. My life path has been consulting/hr/Business development. Not recruiting in the formal sense. Those life skills along the way are what have provided a unique perspective for me today in my experiences. I only speak for myself, but having been a business owner/consultant, being responsible for hire/fire and management, to managing accountability and behavior has truly led me to a career that I'm totally passionate about. At the same time I'm helping an organization find a team mate that fits completely within their culture, a candidate wanting to either advance their career path or just find employment. I just don't think there's much more satisfying than that, well, other than a really good tequila on a beach somewhere. My future is within this industry, building, shaping, changing, and becoming better to impact my community and sphere of influence. My question to others is what has it been in your life that has made you a better recruiter today?
