How are you paid as a recruiter? New question.

Hi all - I am a new small recruiting firm. Right now it is just me working as the owner and operator.

I've been considering hiring a few recruiters to join me in growing the business. However, I don't know what is standard compensation for recruiters. I come from an HR Director background and the external recruiter is much different than the internal recruiter. 

Do any recruiters work on commission alone? I'm worried about minimum wage requirements and healthcare reform issues. I currently wouldn't be able to offer benefits since the company is so small.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I'm located in the US, operating in the state of Ohio.

My company's name is Bravo Recruiters .

I'm not quite ready to add people, but I'd like to gather info for when it is time to make that move.

Do you go about finding the business and finding the talent? What do most recruiters do?
