Really? That is weird. Fees do tend to go down a little as the market dips. I saw that in the last recession, but interestingly not as much this time...though could be that I'm more senior level now, so can be a little choosier about what I take on. I have to admit though, I do miss the days when the market was tight and clients would invite us in and voluntarily raise their fees because they wanted to be our absolute top priority. :)
