Hello to all the fellow recruiters and bloggers on this site! I too have been a reader but am just now taking the time to sign up and post an introduction. I worked for Fortune Personnel Consultants of Valdosta as a Research Assistant/Sourcing Specialist while completing a Master of Science Degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at Valdosta State University. I am very grateful for the FPC of Valdosta office taking me in and introducing me to the recruiting industry. I learned so much from my time there and know that I want to continue in the recruiting industry - either directly as a recruiter or as a business professor with recruitment as my primary research interest. Ideally, I would like to have my own firm and teach/research at a university. I am completing my degree and focusing on finishing my thesis on the topic of recruitment - specifically third-party (external) recruiters and how they relate to and influence job candidates. Unfortunately, the academic literature/research has rarely addressed this category of recruiters. Hopefully, my thesis can be developed and published later to add to the body of research to begin to fill this void in the literature. I am also active with SHRM. Feel free to connect with me on LinkedIN or message me if you would like to network or discuss ideas.
Thanks,
Bryant
