I don't know if I was just having a bad day yesterday, but if I heard one more person say to me that it wasn't worth getting out of bed for less than £400 per day, I swear I was on the verge of asking them to take a reality check!

We're in the midst of crawling out of one of the deepest recessions for many years, one in which many people have lost their jobs and homes, businesses have gone to the wall and everyone is feeling the pinch.

Ok I know the bankers are still getting their whack, but for heavens sake surely taking £380 per day (that's British Pounds) rather than £400 isn't really going to break the bank, and believe it or not some of these people squeezing an extra £20 aren't actually working at the moment.

Maybe I was just having a bad day and should applaud their commitment to achieve the best rate possible, but £380 per day - not worth getting out of bed for?? Please!

I agree. I have had several persons tell me the same. Either that or they don't want to risk losing unemployment benefits, or simply are not interested until they have exhausted all of their benefits.
Unemployment must be way better in the U.K. than in the U.S.! What does unemployment pay in the U.K. and what are the qualifiers to receive it?
I'm not exactly sure of the figures but I'm certain it doesn't come anywhere near £400 per day!!!
