Staffing Jobs Show Growth

Demand for temporary and contract employees increased markedly from July to August, according to the American Staffing Association Staffing Index.

The index has shown seven consecutive weeks of growth since the end of June—the longest such stretch in 21 months.

By gaining four points in just four weeks, the index has grown more robustly since the Independence Day holiday than it had in the same period of the previous three years. While the index is substantially down from its initial June 2006 benchmark of 100, it is now at its highest level so far this year.

An ASA analysis of more than 35 years of government data has shown that the relationship between temporary help employment growth and gross domestic product is strongest when the economy is emerging from a recession.

The July–August uptick in staffing employment would be consistent with the view of many economists that the great recession is over.

My company, Royal Associates/Royal Staffing Services has seen an uptick since the end of May within various industries...Are you seeing the same?

Well certainly index is getting up last month. At least in Europe and US. There are plenty of reports on onrec.com and recruiter.co.uk
"Monster’s career fair inspires jobseekers". And absolutley it is all about insperation of the crowd, and not about real things. People still not tired of their slavery ))). But for sure they are very tired of not having enough money to live.
