I'm doing a bit of research and would like to know how recruiters experience job boards. Your advice/input will be much appreciated:-)

My questions:
1. What do you dislike most about job boards?
2. What do you like most about job boards?
3. Do you think job boards have a future in recruitment?
4. Is there a specific job board you like using? If so, why?
5. Is there a job board in the UK and US you can recommend?

Thanks a mil for your help!

I dislike the fact that all of our competiton has access to the same candidates.
Its easy to use because sometimes you are lucky enough to find someone (with minimal effort)
Job Boards have a future in recruitment (definitely)
I prefer Monster and Careerbuilder because they have the most aggressive marketing strategy and are the most recognized job boards.
1. What do you dislike most about job boards?
The responses that I get from Job Postings.

2. What do you like most about job boards?
They do contain placeable candidates

3. Do you think job boards have a future in recruitment?
Of Course. Maybe not in their current forms, but job boards will always be 'Communities of Job Seekers'

4. Is there a specific job board you like using? If so, why?
Yes. It seems to have a level of executives that others do not.

5. Is there a job board in the UK and US you can recommend?
I have no idea what's going on in the UK.
I dislike some of the board's search capabilities (Monster, can't search for only willing to relocate candidates, etc.)

The thing I like the most is utilizing a superb boolean search string, I have the opportunity to find passive and/or active candadites that my clients have missed/ignored or who have not responded to their post. The best candidates are the ones who aren't overactive on the job boards (Post a job for a techie, get 100 janitors, etc)

Job boards will have a place in the future of recruitment until such time as every professional in every industry manages to create their own blog/home on the net.

I primarily utilize Monster and Careerbuilder, because for the fees we have to pay, it has the broadest scope of candidates for the variety of positions I have, we don't focus on a niche market, so I don't want a job board that does.
