I have just recently been laid-off as an HR Specialist so that the company could combine two positions into one.   As I was applying for unemployment I wondered - where are these people going to go?  Companies are laying off, cutting back, hiring more affordable talent, and doing without!  Where are the jobs?  Where does one even begin to search?
