MySQL DBA
Location : San Francisco. CA
Duration : 6 Months+
Rate : DOE

Sr. MySQL DBA should have 5+ years of experience with MySQL 5.0-5.1 in high volume OLTP environments.
Successful candidates should have experience with active customer data in the large databases.
Candidates should have scripting/programming experience (perl/bash), and be strong in Linux.

Typical tasks will include: query review, performance monitoring, analysis and tuning, data warehousing, data partitioning/sharding, script maintenance, consistency checks, backup infrastructure, migrations/upgrades between versions and engines, high availability and failover testing, and replication maintenance.
