Needed: A better and more efficient way of matching talent with opportunity.

HR Departments in all companies are currently working with four different groups to meet the talent needs of their companies.  They are working with recruiters for permanent positions; staffing services for part-time and temporary contract
employees; private job posting sites for on-going job needs to address normal
employment turnover; and freelance internet sites for specific or unique talent
needs that are project based.


 


Clearly each of these methods of employment recruitment has their advantages as well as their draw-backs and issues.  Unfortunately, most companies have to use all of these methods and manage all of the relationships with all of these re
sources.


 


What all companies need in this time of economic recovery is a new business model for talent acquisition.  In this new model, all types of contingent employment should be easily
available to companies with employment opportunities from a single source.  The new model should have a database of
available talent for all types and levels of potential employees – from hourly
labor, up through the executive suite. 
It should not cost the companies a disproportional amount of money for finding
and hiring the right talent what they need and when they need it.  Companies should not be penalized by
additional fees in order to convert a well-suited temporary worker to a
permanent full time employee.  Companies
need a single internet source for posting job opportunities and should have
access to a broad selection of qualified, local and verified talent for their
needs.
