I recently have been offered "free" services from an excellent candidates spouse.

I am inclined to say yes, and am working through the best way to utilize someone for "free" while still grooming them for success.

I will only pay straight commission to anyone anymore, so free is essentially all we have to offer.

My question is multi-fold:

If someone offered you 4 hours of help a day, and could do Web site build, Internet searches and phone work, How would you use them?

Where is the down side or "caution areas" in a 2010 new hire?

How much time should I spend with a new hire during my day?

What is the most important training lesson in 2010 for a new hire in recruiting, and how do we go about instilling it?

Thanks to all respondents...........
