I am on way to Kennedy Information's Recruiting Conference and Expo in Vegas. Hoping to make new acquaintances and renew friendships and business relationships.

Why do we gather together in this manner? Most humans have a basic need for community. It is why there are so many churches and why social networking has taken off. When we join efforts or combine talents, the results can be extremely powerful. I have learned to take complete advantage of those opportunities and relish the time spent with other like-minded and equally-curious individuals.

The wizards that await me in the city of lights are familiar names to RBC and, hopefully, some first-timers that crave learning and will gleefully share their own experiences. When we learn the challenges that others face, we learn a little bit more about their lives and how we can continue to co-exist. Understanding, empathy, earnestness, tolerance, knowledge, hope, and joy are sure to be gained when mutual life and the perils, therein are shared.

We face the world each day with renewed hope and a quest to find the better way.

"This world of ours... must avoid becoming a community of dreadful fear and hate, and be, instead, a proud confederation of mutual trust and respect." ~Dwight D. Eisenhower

How often we forget, lose touch, and then get back to the grind of what our reality is when it is really all about relationships and how we connect and treat one another.
