We have a dilemma brewing and I dunno if any of you have noticed it. I WISH I had this problem to address on my sites. Be that as it may, here goes:

BadGuys are chomping at the bit to have at it with Aggie in his RBC blog posting about his RPO Recruitment Process Offsourcing/shoring services where he proclaims: “We are specialized in providing RPO services.”

Jason feels the criticism in the string has become nasty and vitriolic (actually he called it vicious and intimidating, “…like a gang ganged up on somebody.”)

Uh, yeah. That would be the BadGuys gang. Hey, I unnerstan’ perfectly well how Agastus Naik’s service could save 80% in recruitment costs for a client in two month – I’ve been doing that for 'nigh on thirteen years myself! But it’s the approach that has everyone up in arms – now, before any fingers start pointing let it be known I’m not claiming any Miss Innocence title here – I learned the hard lessons that Mr. Naik is about to discover a long time ago.

Our mission states:
We are a hit squad. A roaming band of vigilante commenters. Our target: hot air recruiting bloggers
Those of us in the Bad Guys gang have our own formulas to run up against – we can either be listed or black-listed to the following categories:
Currently Active Members
Supposed To Be Active Members
Membership Status Unclear
Don't Seem To Belong Here
So what the heck are we supposed to do? We have taken sacred vows. When we see a frothy target we are sworn to aim (or knock).

Bang bang bang on the door baby!
Knock a little louder baby!
Bang bang bang on the door baby!
I can't hear you
Bang bang on the door baby
Bang bang on the door
Bang bang on the door baby
Bang bang
You're what?... Tin roof, rusted!

>> Ami, you are being a prig and a pedant.

And your point is?

>> We all know you're an anarchist of the highest order

That's an oxymoron, silly.

>> but would you like to live in a crime ridden area without police? No.

I do live in a crime ridden area and there are no police. Again, your point is?

>> Likewise, we all agree that a blog cannot be allowed to go to the dogs.

No, we don't agree and if the alternative is letting the blog go to the Animal I'd rather take my chances with the chihuahuas.

>> But we don't all agree when it's time to call in the dogs to hound them out.

Who is "We?" Are you making a subconscious connection between "we" the mob and "we" the unruly bob-throwers? I am not we, I am I!

>> That's the kind of anarchy Mo is referring to.

Giving Maureen a distinctly Jewish sounding name for the purpose of this comment might give her "street cred" among the Irish, but not among the Sacred Cows I can assure you. [Mo offense, Mo]

>> more than The anarchy of the lumpenproletariat.

Oh, as in the "destructive urge is a creative urge," I get it. Do you think adopting the nihilists mantle justifies your comment terrorism, is that it? Sorry, that is as pathetic as passing Maureen off as one of the Messianic Troublemakers.

>> Not the superior anarchy of fine proletarians like yourself

Yes, and I make no apologies for being schooled by a Prince who argued for the idea of mutual aid, unlike the nihilist Animal who argues for his own brand of intellectual lumpen-chauvinism.

>> who have internalized decent values so that no one has to impose order upon them.

As Mother used to say: "Better a libertarian mensch than a nihilistic sobaka killev."

Thanks Animal... :) I can be nice.... mostly of the time, unless I am being sold at without consent, I've been known to turn a little.

I didn't see the comment that was deleted. I told Maureen, "Dan Nuroo is such a nice guy. I can't believe he said anything that awful."
And we wonder why there are not as many "job seekers" online as we would hope. Then we wonder, when they do come online, why they don't participate. Do we assume recruiters are the only people reading recruiting blogs, RBC or otherwise?

Does the word "foster" mean anything? Physical and psychological abusers often believe they are "fostering" the object of their affection.

Maybe it's just me... but... the moment a post/string loses mutual respect, it loses my respect and becomes a Zero-sum discussion.

Now, I'm just one person and maybe, through the eye of some readers, "I" don't matter. That's fine. But remember; The internet, Social Media, et. all, exists because of all the "I's."

So, to any of you who read this, especially those of you who are not members, considering joining this or other online communities, or members who rarely comment but would like to comment more... before you post (and, believe me, everyone wants you too), please ask yourself; "What type of Community psychology do I wish to foster?" Unless, of course, you do not hold yourself personally accountable for what and how you contribute to a community or society. I know many people online who would love to hear/read your thoughts (not your ad copy.)

Well... I better go now. I think I hear motorcycles coming. ;-)

Jim, this is a social network for recruiters. Non-recruiters might be listening in? So?

And you were from a foster home? I won't hold that against you. In fact, I admire you for coming up from adversity.

> Maybe it's just me

You know what? It is just you. We're very reciprocal here.

> I'm just one person and maybe, through the eye of some readers, "I" don't matter....

That's a threat, isn't it? "I might look like a nobody but I've got a lot of other nobodies behind me and when a lot of nobodies get together we can hurt you."

But who are those other nobodies? The non-recruiters who happen onto recruiting blogs once in a lifetime via Google? Bring 'em on. Let's see what you got.

> So, to any of you who...rarely comment but would like to comment more

Jim, if you've been around recruiting blogs for any length of time, you should know that they don't generate a lot of comments. People aren't afraid to leave comments. They're not interested in doing so.

The Church of the Consumer blog says that only10% of the members of any social network actually read the stuff that's on it and only 1% contribute. Why? Because it's time consuming.

So, if you want to foster comments, you're welcome to join the comment club where the driving idea is: let's put some money in the hat to encourage other people to do so.

I'd better go now. The nobodies are coming.
Are you calling me fat?

And then Jim wastes time and says:

Kitten, why would I want to join a gang, which your home page clearly demonstrates your intent to be a gang, when the creator and leader of that gang can't even bring himself to represent the name he created; Bad Guys. Instead, you refer to it as the "The Comment Club?" How quaint. Hey...our patch/colors/badge/flag could be a nice kitten playing with some yarn. Oh..and just think of the tattoos. Meow.

Why would I get involved with the leader of a gang who isn't even brave enough to acknowledge that the "I's" referenced in my reply are actually the audience which made the Kitten... the Recruiting Animal? You don't exist without them.

Rally people against you? You're kidding, right? You've obviously not take one minute to get to know me. I stand alone and don't need anyone to fight my battles.

I'm a "Nobody"? You bet. I've been saying "No" to people like you all my life. Don't feel bad that you can't recruit me into your gang. It does not make you a bad recruiter.

Hey.. but you have the "Ace in the hole." Your business model is "the shock jock" so I can't win this argument. You see.. if I said nothing.... you win... and given what I've said here... I've fed your business model. Man.. I love helping people.

Tell me.. how do I earn that badge of honor again?
